This website is the culmination of a semester of research by students in “ITAL B240 Philadelphia the Global City: The Italian Legacy across Time,” a Tri-Co Philly course taught in Fall 2025. It investigates the history and evolution of Philadelphia as a globalized and multi-ethnic city, using as a case study for this analysis the impact and legacy of transnational Italian culture across the centuries. The website features an interactive map of key locations, artworks, and other points of interest related to the Italian legacy in Philadelphia along with student research on each point of interest. It also features a collection of locations and images, including photographs taken by the students as well as some found in the course of their research.
